We're rewinding time a bit this week and covering the Achaemenid (Persian) Empire. We're starting this mini-series with a fast and furious crash course through Achaemenid history from its formation to the preparation for its conquest of this little backwater country called Greece. We hope you guys enjoy this Persian series, as we wanted to show them some MUCH needed love before Alexander the Great comes along and slaps the whole house of cards off the table. Next week we cover the Greco-Persian war from the Persian side, get excited!
